In this unique class you’ll learn an easy way to truly master rhythm. The proprietary tools and method we teach allow you to transfer your groove onto any other instrument with our guidance later on, and/or just get awesome at percussion now! Kids have a BLAST in YOUth TUBEr, learning on-camera presence, content creation, and an introduction to video editing in a hands-on collaborative environment! Our YOUth TUBEr kids develop their storytelling style and build social skills like public speaking, active listening, and improved eye contact.

*Kids will receive one professionally edited video, their raw footage and student edited videos shared via a private Google Drive folder. Requests for adding another professionally edited video, can be created by TTTC for an additional fee.

Little Fencers – Denver Fencing Center (Carteggi Ltd.)

Denver Fencing Center is excited to offer our Little Fencers class to the students of Cory! Participants will have the opportunity to lean what it takes to become a Jedi, a pirate, or a musketeer through an introduction to the modern sport of fencing. Students will learn the fundamentals of fencing in a safe and fun environment. The instructor will provide lightweight practice equipment, which is specially made for young children who are first learning the sport. Hip Hop – Creative Dance Kids

In this class, we’ll learn choreography to a hit song. This is a high-energy dance form that uses the latest AGE APPROPRIATE Hip Hop and Pop music, coupled with dance steps influenced by some of today’s finest dance choreographers. The style incorporates poppin’, lockin’, and body isolations. Students will learn old school as well as the trendy hip hop style of today, all while emphasizing each dancer finding his/her own individual swagger and style through improvisation. Hip Hop is a fun, high-energy way to express oneself in a big way! Creative Dance Kids classes strive to foster each child’s creativity and determination while nurturing his/her capacity to take risks, to strive freely, and to take pride in success. With League of Wayfinders, you’ll get to create and role play a continuous story as your very own fantasy hero. You’ll fight monsters, solve puzzles, and use your hero’s special magical abilities to help those in need.

2D Video Game Design in FlowLab: Game Development & Game Jam – Silicon STEM Academy

 

Join us this Spring Session and unleash your inner geek! This session focuses on more advanced character creation, behaviors, interactions and physics behind classic 2-dimensional games. Students will develop, test and refine their games as part of the Engineering Design~Process – generating their ideas by testing game theories, creating innovative artifacts and solving authentic problems. Students will have the option of developing a “Top-Down”, “Platformer” or a game completely of their own design style as a part of “Game Jam” program (a game development competition focused on solving real-world problems ie: Global Warming, Global Hunger, Ecology, etc). This program is encouraged for all prior-session Game Designers, but new students are welcome too!

Sarah’s Spanish School- Open to C3 Students Only

After-school, conversational, FUN, Spanish immersion class.

 

Includes all after-school classes (small class sizes, personalized attention), materials, pre-test and post-test, homework, follow-up activities to do at home, YouTube videos to watch at home to reinforce what was learned in class, online flashcards and games and a certificate of completion at the end of the course! Students will learn to speak A LOT of Spanish through games, songs, stories, and more.

 

Classes are fun and interactive, but students will also be held to high expectations to learn, practice, study, have success, and develop Spanish speaking skills. Music is a birthright! Our mission is to share that we are all creative beings with the capacity to make music. In this class, students will learn how to play the guitar, listen to each other as an ensemble, and write original songs. Open to students who have good strength and dexterity in their fingers and who are willing to practice during the week. Practice makes progress. The ability to read is also a plus. Colorado Ballet

This dance class is for everybody! Come and move with us in fun and creative ways while also learning basic ballet skills. Art Class – Young Rembrandts

Does your child have a great sense of humor to complement his or her artistic skills? If so, your child will LOVE a Young Rembrandts Cartoon class. Our students will learn how to personify inanimate objects, as they breathe life into everyday clocks. Omniform – Karate

 

Omniform is martial art that develops the mind, body and the character of the student. It’s a blend of Tae Kwon Do, Karate, Boxing and Yoga. The intention of the training is to empower the student to consciously and deliberately develop his or her own unique power – a power of self-confidence, strength and leadership that attracts positive experiences around them. We welcome students with no martial arts experience as well as students with previous experience. The cost of a uniform, jump rope and gear pack and study guide is $72, which you can purchase directly from the instructor.

Coding with Kids – Robotics for Little Coders (K – 2nd Only)

Robotics for Little Coders with Ozobot is an opportunity for young children to develop their computational thinking skills, build their first programs, and have fun with new friends! Ozobot’s programming is designed specifically for early readers, taking into account the cognitive abilities and typical attention span of children ages 5-7. Students are introduced to basic coding concepts with simple tasks, such as customizing their Ozobot and assigning commands through different colors, then build up to more complex tasks with Ozobot’s simple drag-and-drop language.

Kids need to get moving and this is what we do at Movement Madness. We provide a fun and exciting way for kids to get/ stay fit mentally, emotionally, socially as well as physically. We at Movement Madness are here for the development of the whole child. Through an hour class we provide your child with the needed 60 minutes of vigorous exercise, help develop and improve sport skills, and build their self-confidence by providing constant praise and a positive social environment where they feel good about themselves, build friendships and learn to be a team player.

Omniform is a martial art that develops the mind, body and the character of the student. It’s a blend of Tae Kwon Do, Karate, Boxing and Yoga. The intention of the training is to empower the student to consciously and deliberately develop his or her own unique power – a power of self-confidence, strength and leadership that attracts positive experiences around them. We welcome students with no martial arts experience as well as students with previous experience. Girls on the Run

Girls on the Run® is a transformational physical activity based positive youth development program for girls in 3rd-8th grade. We teach life skills through dynamic, interactive lessons and running games. The program culminates with the girls being physically and emotionally prepared to complete a celebratory 5K running event. The goal of the program is to unleash confidence through accomplishment while establishing a lifetime appreciation of health and fitness. Girls on the Run of the Rockies is an Independent Council of Girls on the Run International, which has a network of over 200 councils across the 50 States and the District of Columbia. Program Registration for Girls Opens February 3rd. To register go to http://girlsontherunrockies.org/our-program/registration/. The registration cost per person is $170. Season Starts: Week of March 2nd (practice will take place on Mondays and Wednesdays after school until 5:00). Program Registration Closes: March 13th. The final race will be the Colfax 5K at City Park on Saturday, May 16th. In addition, we are looking for motivated coaches to help with Girls on the Run this Spring (no running experience necessary).
